Who we are

RootSkall is a co-op role-playing game made by the Gamezone Team. It runs as an App inside Root, and each community that installs it gets its own game world.

This policy explains what data RootSkall uses, why, and how you can have it deleted. It covers only RootSkall. Root's own handling of your account and community data is covered by Root's Privacy Policy.

RootSkall saves only what it needs to remember your character between sessions:

RootSkall does not ask for or store your email address, real name, password, payment details, location or contacts.

Data RootSkall shows but does not store

While you play, RootSkall uses some information that it does not save:

  • Your Root nickname, read from your Root profile, shown as a name label above your character.
  • Whether you are in the App's channel, so your character appears when you arrive and disappears when you leave.
  • Your live movement, sent through Root to the other members of the community who are in the game at the same time.

Other members of the same community can see your nickname, character and movement while you are both in the game.

How we use data

We use this data only to run the game: to load your character, show it to other players, check that your moves are valid, and save your progress. We do not use it for any other purpose.

Where data lives and who can see it

All RootSkall data is stored and processed inside Root's hosted app platform, in a separate store for each community. RootSkall has no servers of its own and sends no data outside Root.

  • Root hosts and backs up the data as our platform provider.
  • Other members of your community see your nickname, character and movement in the game.
  • No one else. We do not share RootSkall data with any third party.

What we never do

  • No advertising and no selling of data.
  • No analytics, tracking or profiling.
  • No cookies or browser storage.
  • No use of your data to train AI or machine-learning models.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your character is kept for as long as RootSkall is installed in the community, so you can come back to it. If a community uninstalls RootSkall, we stop having access to that community's data and keep no copies.

To delete or change your data, email support@meshinformatique.com with your Root username and the community name. We will delete your character from that community, or correct it, within 30 days and confirm by email.

Children

RootSkall is only available through Root and follows Root's age requirements. We do not knowingly collect any more data from children than the game data described above. If you believe a child's data should be removed, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If RootSkall starts using new kinds of data, for example for items or chat, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change goes live.
